NORTH AMERICAN BEAR COMPANY'S (1979) (16") THEODORE BEARINGTON was created in 1978 by BARBARA ISENBERG and her brother PAUL LEVY. They wanted to create a line of high quality Plush Toys that would appeal to children and adults. They have made a line of Celebrity Bears (VIBs meaning Very Important Bears), ALBERT THE RUNNING BEAR in a jogging suit, and other Plush Toys. ALBERT THE RUNNING BEAR was followed by a book about him and his adventures. 

This NORTH AMERICAN BEAR is a light beige blend and like all NORTH AMERICAN BEARS is a little chubby.

Even though he was made in 1979, the quality of these bears still stands.
