This product is a set of two antique Ford Model 'A'? hood pull hook latch hold downs, made of steel. They are bolt-on attachments designed for the hood of a vehicle. The exact vehicle they came from is unknown.

The one with white paint specs has a stronger spring however both springs may need to be replaced.
