2008 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 FSI Petrol | Long MOT | Replacement Engine & Clutch | £1,855 ONO

Selling my 2008 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 FSI petrol manual due to relocating to Ireland at the end of August. Otherwise, I would be keeping it.

The car is currently showing approximately 147,000 miles. At around 142,000 miles, the engine was replaced with an engine that had covered approximately 72,000 miles. I have the receipt/documentation for the replacement engine, and the clutch was replaced at the same time.

The car has had a significant amount of work done and is ready to go, including:

• Replacement engine fitted at approx. 142,000 miles – replacement engine had approx. 72,000 miles

It drives really well and has just had the 4-wheel alignment completed.

Condition

As you'd expect from a 2008 car, it isn't cosmetically perfect. There is some rust/corrosion around the wheel arch and lower bodywork, and the alloys have quite a bit of kerbing from a previous owner. I've included photos so you can see the condition.

There are also a few age-related marks around the car, but overall it still presents well for its age. The interior is in good condition for its age and the boot is clean and spacious.

Mechanically, a lot of the expensive work has already been done, particularly with the replacement engine and clutch, and it now has a fresh MOT and newly completed 4-wheel alignment. I also have a full history of receipts for repair and maintenance work carried out throughout my ownership, which will be provided with the car.

It's genuinely a lovely car to drive and has been a great car for me. I'll be sad to see it go, and I'm only selling due to relocating to Ireland.
