Antique Bradley & Hubbard B&H Stag Hunting Dogs Letter Holder

Beautiful and highly detailed antique letter holder by Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Co. of Meriden Connecticut.

This substantial cast-metal desk accessory features a wonderful stag/deer hunting scene with hunting dogs, fencing branches and foliage. It has an elaborate decorative crest at the top and ornate feet and detailing throughout.

The underside is marked B&H and appears to be stamped 3549 / 7030. This marking corresponds to documented examples of this Bradley & Hubbard stag and hounds letter holder.

The piece has a beautiful aged antique patina and brass-toned finish with the expected surface wear and discoloration associated with its age. It is a heavy substantial piece.
