CONDITION DETAILED:
-
Bellows: Excellent, completely airtight compression with strong volume and no noticeable leaks.
The interior carding is in clean condition.
Functionality: Fully playable. All 4 voice stops pull smoothly and every button produces a loud, bright traditional Hohner sound on both push and pull.
Key: There is no tuning key notation stamped into the woodwork. Testing suggests it pulls strongly towards the E dominant tones, making it highly likely a traditional A/D or C scale configuration, but it is sold as-found.
Flaws:
The far-right button pad on the top treble row has cosmetic damage/warping to the round pad (please see close-up photo). The button still functions and sounds its reed properly when pressed, but the pad may require a replacement down the track.
Grille: Minor age-related surface patina and spotting on the metal grille plate as expected with an authentic vintage piece.
Straps: Original leather shoulder strap and bass strap are intact but show typical vintage wear/dryness from age.
SHIPPING:
Will be packaged securely with the bellows locked and plenty of heavy-duty bubble wrap to protect the internal reeds. Sent via Australia Post with tracking and signature required. Local pickup is also available in Bendigo, VIC.
