Note: Will not work on the 6-bolt style Fluidamprs

Install notes:

1. Place the drill template on the balancer with the supplied bolt

2. Rotate the drill hole 180° from the factory key

3. Mark drill bit at 1-5/8" drill depth with tape or a paint marker

4. Drill the crank slowly using lubricant until at the drill depth of 1-5/8". Be sure to hold the bit square with the end of the crank.

5. Remove the template & clean the hole.

6. Install dowel pin

7. Install the crank bolt and torque to spec.

Factory crank bolts are torque-to-yield — they stretch as they are tightened by angle, so a new bolt is recommended any time the balancer comes off. Haven't ordered a replacement yet? see listing 127960346148

Reusing a factory TTY bolt:

2001-2010: 74 ft-lbs + 105 degrees

2010.5-2020+: 74 ft-lbs + 90 degrees

Using the KBD bolt: torque to 255 ft-lbs.

Using another brand of bolt: follow that manufacturer's install spec.
