This mixed media oil portrait is inspired by a yoga exercise that helps cleansing auras by visualising a shower of light raining on us.

The artwork is created in layers using oil, mixed media and collage. These layers reflect the multicultural character of modern London, where the artist lives and works, as well as the rich layers of history found in the Italian city of Naples, where her roots lie. The use of layered materials also represents the blending of cultures, identities and artistic influences that define contemporary society. This idea of cultural exchange and artistic contamination begins with music and extends into the visual arts, creating a unique and expressive language.
