This Antique Primitive Pine Wood Garden Gathering Basket is a medium-sized, handmade tool caddy made in the US-Northeast region during the early to mid-20th century. The basket features a primitive country style with a brown color and is signed by the maker. Made of wood, this original piece is perfect for carrying flowers or vegetables from the garden. Its unique charm and vintage appeal make it a standout addition to any antique or primitive collection.

This carrier is constructed of solid, old-growth Eastern White Pine, featuring an exceptional natural oxidation that has aged the wood into a rich, deep amber-brown tone. Unlike common open totes, this box features a rare, mirrored 6-compartment layout—complete with four small square corner pockets for sorting hardware/nails and two large center bays for hand tools.

Highlights:

Hand-printed Owner Initials: The corner lip features unique, historic initials hand-gouged directly into the pine rim by its original owner using a knife or awl—a fantastic mark of individual ownership and true primitive appeal.

- Scavenged Copper Strap: The center wooden handle features an incredible "make-do" repair or reinforcement strip made entirely of heavy copper. It is secured with original round-head iron brad nails showing beautiful natural "iron sickness" staining around the wood fibers.
