Vintage Art Deco Style, Gold Tone and Burgundy

This Bates Listfinder Cavalier is a classic piece of mid-century office equipment, designed to provide quick access to contact information with a mechanical pop-up lid. The design features a sophisticated combination of a gold-tone metal lid with a Greek key bordered insert, set against a deep burgundy molded base that reflects the transition from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modern aesthetics.

Condition: Good vintage condition consistent with age and office use. The gold-tone lid shows surface scratches and light oxidation. The burgundy base has numerous surface scuffs and scratches throughout. The top insert shows a few small spots of surface loss. The underside is missing its original rubber feet, leaving some adhesive residue. The internal paper index is present and appears largely unused.
