The CDJ-1500X inherits the subtlety, clear definition, and sense of spatial breadth that were prioritized in the CDJ-3000X. Through repeated fine-tuning across the entire product—including digital circuits, analog circuits, and power supply circuits—we’ve achieved clear separation across each frequency band and cohesive low-frequency response.

The low frequencies maintain their definition while delivering a strong presence, and in the mid-to-high frequencies, the nuances of vocals and instruments unfold naturally. Even in music bars and small venues, it balances musical detail with a sense of spatial comfort.

Designed for use in limited spaces such as music bars and mini-clubs, it achieves a compact size while retaining the key features of the flagship model. Since it can be installed effortlessly even in confined spaces, it offers flexibility when pairing with turntables or reconfiguring DJ setups.

■ A 10.1-inch large screen and high visibility make track selection and performance smoother

Featuring a 10.1-inch capacitive touch panel equivalent to that of the flagship CDJ-3000X, it supports smooth track selection and situational decision-making, enabling a more intuitive DJ performance.

The large, high-visibility display allows you to view up to 15 tracks simultaneously on the browse screen, making it easy to find the next track you want to play. Additionally, the waveform display lets you intuitively grasp a track’s structure, helping you select tracks that fit the flow of the moment.

Furthermore, the WAVEFORM screen now includes a new feature that lets you instantly see a track’s vocal sections, BPM changes, and phrase structure at a glance. This allows you to intuitively grasp a track’s progression and mix timing, supporting your decision-making during a set.

It also supports the PLAYLIST EDIT function, allowing you to freely reorder tracks within a playlist directly on the unit.

Additionally, you can choose between DARK MODE and LIGHT MODE for the display’s background color. From dark club booths to bright lounges and outdoor events, the screen remains easy to read in a variety of environments, allowing you to focus on your performance with confidence.

■ DJ Sets Start with Just a Smartphone, Thanks to Cloud Integration and NFC Login

Using the built-in Wi-Fi®, you can DJ using StreamingDirectPlay or rekordbox CloudDirectPlay.

In addition to music streaming services like Apple Music and Beatport Streaming, you can directly access your latest rekordbox library stored in the cloud right from the unit. You can call up tracks and playlists as-is and play from your own library.

Furthermore, by using NFC touch login on a mobile device with rekordbox for iOS/Android installed, you can seamlessly load your personal settings and playlists. Since you can recreate your usual setup exactly as it is, you can start playing without spending time on preparation.

This enables a new style of DJing where you head to the venue with just your smartphone and play directly from your own library.

■ “CoBeat”: A New Service That Deepens Interaction with the Audience and Creates a Sense of Unity on the Dance Floor

CoBeat is a new service that connects DJs and audiences in real time, allowing the entire dance floor to collaborate in creating a shared musical experience.

Audience members can participate simply by scanning a QR code with their smartphones, giving them access to a catalog of tracks pre-selected by the DJ. They can vote for songs they want to hear or send requests via message. Requests received via CoBeat are displayed on the CDJ-1500X’s browse screen, allowing DJs to incorporate them into their set and create a new musical experience that unites them with the audience. Furthermore, the audience can use emojis to express the energy and atmosphere of the dance floor in real time. Sent emojis pop up on the smartphone screen, enabling DJs to feel the audience’s reaction as they perform.

*The launch of the CoBeat service and the release of the compatible rekordbox for Mac/Windows are scheduled for July 9.

■ Design That Blends into Any Space and High Customizability

With its minimalist user interface and matte black finish, the CDJ-1500X blends naturally into any setup or space. The front panel features a slot with LED lighting equipped with two USB ports (1 Type-C, 1 Type-A).

The LED lights offer a choice of 12 colors, allowing you to create lighting effects tailored to the space and the moment. USB drives can be easily connected and neatly stored without the risk of accidental disconnection, even during performances or when people are moving around the booth.

Additionally, screw holes on the side of the unit allow for the attachment of side panels, enabling you to customize the appearance by installing panels in different colors or materials.
