Over the next several months, I will be listing more incredible pieces of Hallowe'en history from some of our hobby’s most well-respected and knowledgeable collectors. I am celebrating more than 25 years of finding new homes for such wonderful treasures on eBay!

This devilishly handsome (?) and very unusual squeaker toy is two-sided, and it WORKS!

Marked Japan, this squeaker is made from diecut cardboard, pleated paper for the bellows, and a metal rivet making the squeak possible. When opened and then closed, this toy squeaks -- and squeaks with a delicate sound.

It measures 3 1/8” high. This is a RARE Hallowe'en collectible, and I believe it to be from the pre-war years of the 1930s.

The condition is NEAR MINT, with only tiny bumps to the horns.

I have only seen this item once before, even after my many years of loving and collecting antique and vintage Hallowe'en memorabilia. As collectors know, devil imagery is highly sought-after, because not many items were made due to its unsettling nature. This would be an ideal acquisition for those collectors in search of authentic vintage and antique Halloween memorabilia, unusual noisemakers, and rare pre-war toys.
