This early 20th-century tool was manufactured by the Comstock-Bolton Co. in Kansas City, Missouri. Designed for manual crown cork bottling, this capper represents a transition in home-brewing and beverage preservation technology following the widespread adoption of the crown cap. The tool features dual-handle mechanical action and is clearly stamped with the manufacturer's name, location, and original patent information, reflecting American industrial manufacturing of the era.
