In 1971 Topor and publisher Jaco Groot met in Paris.

They talked about unreadable books on which Topor said: 'I wrote such a book!'

The day after that Topor showed him the book, on which Groot replied: 'We're going to publish it!'

in 1972 a first edition was published by Thomas Rap

the front of the slip-band was altered in 1975 from ' Topor_Souvenir ' to ' Topor Souvenir ' (thus: without the ' _ ')

further: the first ed. has a slightly larger front-cover print and has horizontal line below the 'text' at the back cover

cover and banderol are slightly browned, as always

minimally dirty and trace of sticker on banderol
