Up for sale is a vintage Dietzen Model 1099 cast iron lead pointer drafting mechanical pencil sharpener used by architects and engineers primarily from the 1940’s and 1950’s. It has a textured black finish and the metallic spout for inserting pencil.
This sharpener was patented in 1951, patent no 2540320 (stamped on inside of cover) to improve how the drafting pencil leads are mechanically shaped.
The top knob unscrews easily to access the internal chamber, spins freely when reattached and there is no visible rust. It has nice patina and cosmetic age wear.
Perfect addition to any architect, draftsman or antique office collection ! Thanks for looking and it ships quickly. We combine shipping.
