CONDITION:  Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Denmark by Royal Copenhagen in the 1920s.  It has the artist Knud Kyhn’s initials incised in the porcelain.  It is identified by the model number 1804.  The figurine measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide. It is expertly modeled and hand painted. The gleeful little imp of a faun is mercilessly yanking the poor bear’s ear.  You can see the look of misery in the bear’s face. There was a series of Fauns and animals created by Royal Copenhagen artists.  This is an earlier and less common figurine in the series.  #E110
