Important compatibility information: This is a passive connector adapter only. It changes the physical connection but does not convert the SAS protocol into SATA. Your controller, HBA or RAID card must support SAS drives. A SAS drive will not work when connected directly to a standard SATA-only motherboard port, SATA USB adapter, docking station or caddy.
