ABOUT THIS ITEM FOR SALE:

Here's a great photo of the XR290 speaker.

This is one rare piece of literature!

I have it VERY fairly priced. Some day they will likely be worth a lot of money to a McIntosh collector.

If you want photos or a brochure on another model, feel free to message me...I might have what you want.
I am sold out on MC2505, MC2105, and MC2205 items, though...they were the first to go.

BACKGROUND STORY:

I Started selling McIntosh in High School, then went to Boston University to study Electrical Engineering.

During college I worked on weekends at a HiFi store in Newton, MA that specialized in McIntosh. I eventually quit college and became the store manager. I stayed for seven years.

McIntosh knew I wanted my own store, so when they heard that the owners of House of Music in San Francisco wanted to retire, they encouraged my to move West and buy the business, which I did. House of Music quickly became the world's largest McIntosh dealer.
I owned the store for 16 years.

McIntosh asked me to revamp their Sales Training program, McMasters. I sold my store and became the McIntosh Sales Trainer.

I ran McMasters, worked with the Engineers (I invented DPM, used in the MC205, MC255, MC207, MC257, and MC8207 models) and pushed through many changes (LED lighting of faceplates and meters, and subwoofer outputs on 2-channel models for instance).

Bose purchased McIntosh, and, after 25 years as the Sales Trainer, "my position was eliminated".

I've collected a LOT of photos and brochures on McIntosh products over the last 50 years.

The photos I have are original VINTAGE photos that the factory used for brochures, manuals, and advertisements.

Many are so rare that only two copies exist...in my personal collection and in the factory archives.

Since I am no longer with McIntosh, I'm selling all my remaining photos, brochures, manuals, catalogs, etc.

Here's your chance to find valuable information, great reading, and beautiful vintage photos (not photocopies) of even rare models. Most are so nice they're worth framing. They measure, typically, about 7x10 inches.

I have many rare photos and brochures...including McIntosh Loudspeakers...even uncommon models like the XL1 and XR17.
