Originally from the Alden Baur Collection… Alden Baur is a former Hot Wheels designer who was employed by Mattel from 1987 to 2002. He designed castings from at least 1993 to 1997, as well as doing work for the Collectibles line. His best known designs are Power Pipes, Rigor Motor, Silhouette II, Splittin' Image II, Twin Mill II (1993), Shadow Jet II, Way 2 Fast, Twang Thang and Lexus SC400. He was noted to have been good friends with Phil Riehlman, and was noted as the creator of the 100% Hot Wheels line as well as the 4-Car sets. After leaving Mattel, he worked for Mechanix Wear and competing brand Spin Master and was last known to be an in-house design consultant for an Indonesian coachbuilder company, Morodadi Prima.
