The face is detailed, beautiful and expressive. Signed on the foot. It appears the legs to the knee, the hands to the elbow, the arms, the head and upper torso are clay. The rest appears to be wire and stuffing. He has a shell necklace on a string and a net which appears to be made of cheesecloth and wooden beads. Buttons on the shirt are wood, nonfunctional and glued to the shirt. The chair is made of rattan and a synthetic fiber.

Clothing, shirt has a spot. Item is dusty which has caused the shirt to look a little discolored. Pants have some dirt on them. Flower is missing from his hair and the hair ornament I believe it is called a ti leaf haku lei has worn away over the years. I read these dolls are resin but, in my opinion, it looks like clay.
