Sony Walkman TPS-L2 in excellent condition and in full working order after refurbishment and replacement of belts. The Walkman comes with its original Sony case, Sony cassette holder and Sony carry strap. The Walkman is a second generation model with a low serial number.
Both belts have been replaced with new precision DeckTech belts. The play head, pinch roller and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. The rubber on the internal drive wheels has been cleaned. The mechanism has been thoroughly cleaned and lubricated. The motor speed has been calibrated. The volume controls have been cleaned with Deoxit. The circuit boards have been checked and cleaned. The internal wiring has been reharnessed.
The unit is in excellent condition both inside and out. There are a couple of small scratches on top panel (see photos 10 & 17) and a small mark on the top of the silvered housing (see photo 16). There is also some colour variation on the bottom of the control panel where the paint work has been repaired (see photo 5). There are no other significant marks, abrasions or scratches on the rest of the casing or the window.
The carry case is in good condition but shows signs of use on the front and a small area of stitching has come away at the bottom of the case (see photo). The cassette carry case and carry strap are in excellent condition.

The battery compartment and contacts are clean and clear of corrosion, as is the circuitry. The battery cover button is intact and fully functional.
The controls are all functioning and playback quality is very good(watch and listen to the video). The ‘Hot Line’ switch is fully functional. The volume control is free from ‘scratchiness’
