Rare Montblanc Safety Hard Rubber 585 Gold Overlay Art Deco
Filigree 2 M Fountain Pen (1920s) A hard-to-find vintage Montblanc masterpiece crafted from black hard rubber (ebonite) featuring a stunning Art Deco filigree overlay in solid 14kt gold (marked 585).

Condition:
This pen is in very good condition considering its age of nearly a century.

Body & Cap: Only a minor scratch on one point of the white star logo and slight marks on the cap's upper striated area (please see photos).

Gold Overlay: Free of dents and dings, showing only minimal, normal surface wear.

Nib: Flexible 14kt gold nib. Please note there is a tiny gold chip missing next to the breather hole (right above the letter "N"). This does not affect the writing performance at all. The nib retains its wonderful flexibility.

Mechanism: The safety mechanism is intact, but it needs a cork seal replacement to be fully functional.
