Solid one-piece axle, CNC-machined from a Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V / “64”) titanium billet. No welds. No hollow core. Bolt-on stock replacement — stronger and more precise than chromoly.

Why solid 64 titanium

Hollow shafts flex. We keep it solid for max bending strength — up to ~1.5× hollow chromoly, ~1.5× stock. Same solid section is ~40% lighter than chromoly; not lighter than hollow chromoly, but far stiffer. CNC precision. Won’t rust. Still looks new years later.

What you feel

The axle is the only link from front wheel to chassis. Less flex = more consistent front feel under braking and mid-corner. Looks stock. Works harder.

Typical titanium axles elsewhere: ~¥80,000 (≈$488). Ours is about 1/4 that — fair parts for a discontinued classic like the DAEG.

Color is electrodeposited (not paint); slight lot-to-lot tone difference is normal.
