Known
throughout the world for bearing the visible Stigmata for 50 years of his life,
Saint Padre Pio was an Italian Capuchin Franciscan priest of the Catholic Church,
canonised in the year 2002 as a Saint. This great mystic priest led a life of
intense suffering as well as incredible manifestations of the supernatural
life. He spent many long hours every day hearing confessions, was able to
bilocate, worked miracles, called his rosary his ‘weapon’, gave much spiritual
advice, battled the devil, spoke with his Guardian Angel, Our Lord and Our
Lady, had a deep devotion for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin
Mary and was outspoken against the realities of sin and evil especially in
these times. In this new film we look at Saint Padre Pio’s life, his call to be
a priest, his special call to suffering as a victim soul, his daily routine, a
selection of his writings, his later years and his holy death in a detailed,
factual and fascinating biography that not only presents valuable information
on one of the greatest Saints of the Church but a prayerful and spiritual film
experience.
