A beautiful vintage Italian wood marquetry serving tray, traditionally handcrafted in Sorrento, Italy, and sourced directly from Ardingly Antiques Fair. This elegant oblong tray features stunning, intricate inlaid wood craftsmanship, showcasing a central multi-tonal floral bouquet framed by an elaborate flowing scrollwork border against rich, contrasting wood grains.

The tray is finished with a protective high-gloss lacquer and set into a pierced brass gallery rim with two integrated sturdy carry handles. This piece has been professionally conserved in our workshop, gently cleaned using specialist Vulpex liquid soap to preserve the original finish, and sealed with a microcrystalline Renaissance wax coating to protect the wood and enhance the natural grain.

It is in good vintage condition with a wonderful authentic patina. The wooden surface remains vibrant with minor surface wear and age-related lacquer settling.
