Offered is an original 1900 edition of The Tyee, the inaugural yearbook published by the University of Washington in Seattle. This historic volume was published by the Junior Class and represents the very first edition of what became the university's long-running annual yearbook.

Filled with early University of Washington history, student portraits, campus life, organizations, artwork, and advertisements from turn-of-the-century Seattle, this book is an exceptional piece of Pacific Northwest history.

Condition:

Original hardcover binding with age-related cover and edge wear.

Interior pages are generally very clean and well preserved for their age.

Two pages has a small smudge. I added photos of smudges and small tears.

One page has approximately a 1/2-inch tear near the binding at the bottom edge, with the facing page having an approximately 1/4-inch tear in the same area.

Three advertising pages (pages 214, 218, and 222) have been neatly removed. The remainder of the yearbook is complete, including the student and historical content.
