Well folks… before Happy Meals came with toys, people got books like this from the tea company.

Up for sale is an original 1900 edition of Chit-Chat! Bright Stories and Pictures for Little Folks, published by the Grand Union Tea Company of New York.

This charming turn-of-the-century children’s book is filled with beautiful full-page color illustrations, stories, poems, and artwork that captures the spirit of Christmas at the dawn of the 20th century. The illustrations are absolutely the highlight, with vibrant chromolithograph plates that have survived remarkably well.

Now let’s be honest… she’s earned every wrinkle.

The covers show age, staining, rubbing, and general wear from over 120 years of existence. The binding is intact, the pages remain present, and the interior artwork displays beautifully. Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition.
