This gorgeous, matching 19th-century
silver-plated hollowware set beautifully represents the Aesthetic Movement.
Both pieces feature a striking, deeply engraved geometric and floral band
around the upper body, adorned with circular rosettes, scrolling accents, and
drop-pendant motifs. The pieces boast high-arching Victorian handles with
decorative thumb rests, and the sugar bowl is complete with its original tiered
lid and decorative finial.
Condition: This antique set is in good condition; however, additional cleaning
and polishing will need to be done. The circular underside rim of the lid is
noticeably warped and out-of-round, featuring several minor bends and a wavy
edge profile rather than a perfect circle.
