German-built, 2020 - Sage Green Metallic Satin
For sale is my 2020 German-built Sadowsky MetroLine 21-fret Vintage J/J 5-string in Solid Sage Green Metallic Satin.
I bought the bass new from Thomann in 2020. It is one of the earlier Warwick-produced German MetroLines with the curved Sadowsky headstock logo.
It is a fantastic bass, but I am moving back to 4-strings and it is no longer getting enough use.
The bass is in good overall condition with honest gigging wear, including several small dings and marks. I have tried to show these clearly in the photographs.
There is a small crack in one of the pickup housings. This is cosmetic and the pickup operates correctly.
One pickup was replaced by Warwick under warranty early in the bass’s life following a fault. It has worked correctly since.
The electronics were checked and the pickup heights adjusted by Jon Shuker approximately one month ago. This was not a full setup.
To be completely transparent, there is currently a slight buzz around the 15th fret of the A string. It could be related to the older string, require a setup or possibly be caused by a slightly high fret. I have not had it diagnosed and the price reflects this. The current strings are approximately three to four months old.
The Fender hard case has cosmetic wear but is fully functional and will be used for collection or shipping.
The original Sadowsky Portabag can also be included, but it is in very poor condition and should be regarded as a free extra rather than the main case.
The bass is located on the Wirral, near Liverpool.
Collection is welcome. UK shipping is also possible at the buyer’s expense with the bass packed in the Fender hard case (shipped weight will be ~8kg).
