We cleaned out a property and found this giant box absolutely stuffed full of baseball cards. I figured I'd take a look and see if I was secretly retiring early. Unfortunately, after digging through random handfuls of cards, I am still scheduled to report for dumpster duty tomorrow morning.

What I can tell you is this thing is packed.

We found cards from the late 1980s all the way into the 2000s and beyond. Topps, Fleer, Upper Deck, Stadium Club, SP, Bowman and who knows what else is buried in there. There are Hall of Famers, stars, inserts, duplicates, commons, and enough cardboard to keep a baseball fan entertained for a long time.

I pulled random handfuls from the front, middle, and back of the box and found names like Pedro Martinez, Tony Gwynn, Paul Molitor, Barry Larkin, Fernando Valenzuela, Lee Smith, Jay Buhner, Gary Sheffield, Sandy Alomar Jr., Alan Trammell, and a whole bunch of fellas I ain't thought about since dial-up internet.

Now let me be clear:

We did NOT sort this collection.

We did NOT count every card.

We did NOT pull out rookies.

We did NOT search for errors.

We did NOT organize by team, player, year, alphabet, zodiac sign, blood type, or favorite sandwich.

This is being sold exactly the way we found it.

Could there be something good buried in here? Maybe.

Could there be 47 copies of somebody you've never heard of? Also maybe.

That's the adventure.

If you've got more patience than me and enjoy digging through baseball cards, this box is ready for its next owner.

Thanks for looking.
