Vintage Mexican Silver & Natural Malachite Link Bracelet

Up for sale is a beautiful, hand-wrought vintage Mexican modernist link bracelet featuring vibrant, natural green malachite gemstones. The design showcases classic mid-to-late 20th-century artisan craftsmanship, with deep-green oval cabochons safely nestled in textured rope bezels and secured by a heavy slide-in box closure.

Metal Composition & Purity:

This piece is unhallmarked, which is highly typical for independent, mid-century family workshop (talleres) pieces from places like Taxco. The metal is unhallmarked but has been ice-tested to confirm solid silver content (not silver-plated base metal). It is priced lower as an unhallmarked, likely coin-grade artisan piece rather than commercial .925 sterling.

Condition Report:

• Overall: Very good vintage condition with an authentic, rich aged patina.

• Stones: Natural banded malachite stones are intact, bright, and securely seated in their bezels.

• Metal: Natural age-related tarnishing/oxidation is present, primarily embedded in the crevices of the rope borders and hinges, which beautifully accentuates the detailing.

• Clasp: The slide-in box mechanism functions tightly and secures perfectly.

I have left the authentic vintage tarnish so the buyer can choose whether to keep the patina or gently buff it clean with a soft silver cloth!
