Up for auction is a superb antique Victorian aesthetic style quadruple silver plate compote basket / dish, featuring finely engraved on parcel gilt matted ground peacock bird, plants and flowers, with ornate border and elaborate base, made by Meriden Co, #166, standing 7 1/8” tall, 8 3/8” in diameter, marked on the foot as shown on pictures, in excellent original condition.
