Description


For sale is a 360 Systems Instant Replay Hard Disk Audio 2.0 professional audio recorder and instant clip player, model DR-554E-20, serial number IR45D9030.



The Instant Replay system was developed for radio, television, live production, theatre, sports, broadcast and sound-effects applications where recorded audio must be located and played immediately.



The front panel contains 50 programmable Hot Keys that provide direct access to stored sound effects, music, announcements, commercials, jingles and other audio clips. The system supports ten banks of hot-key assignments, allowing as many as 500 clips to be assigned for immediate playback, while additional recordings remain stored on the internal hard disk.

The manufacturer’s documentation states that the standard DR-554-E can store approximately 24 hours of stereo audio and can record using compressed Dolby AC-2 or uncompressed linear audio, depending on the configuration and selected recording mode.

The unit powers on successfully, and the vacuum fluorescent display is bright and readable. The photos show the unit reaching the Instant Replay operating screen and displaying stored or newly selected cut information.



The unit has not been connected to an external audio system for complete recording and playback verification. The internal hard-drive health, stored audio content, all 50 Hot Keys and every input and output remain unverified.



Because this is older hard-drive-based broadcast equipment, future servicing or hard-drive replacement may eventually be required.
