This ANTIQUE 1920's ELSAH ENAMEL MESH FLAPPER PURSE has an interesting history. It came from the ESTATE of the RAILROAD BARRON - JAMES JAY HILL known as "THE EMPIRE BUILDER". He resided in ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA. This piece came from his wife's MASSIVE PURSE COLLECTION. His HEIRS donated much of the ESTATE to CHARITY where this ended up in MOUND, MINNESOTA to benefit LOCAL FOOD SHELVES by his granddaughter. I purchased it from the CHARITY. It measures 7" high by about 4" wide with a CHAIN HANDLE. As a designer, I love the ART DECO "SHADES of BLUE" COLOR PALETTE. Oh if only it could talk and tell it's story! Condition is very, very good with no holes or tears. The ENAMEL WORK does show some wear appropriate to a 100 YEAR OLD PIECE. It's a beautiful piece with an interesting history. Shipping is a flat rate of $8.95 in the United States.
