Metal hook at bottom, leather portion and darker color ring appear original.  The darker ring does not have any mold seams and appears to be horn or bone.  It looks like the plastic "Made in Canada" ring was added later.  Perhaps the bell was replaced as well - there was some "digging" into the leather at the back.  Leather portion is 8.75" long.  From an estate auction.  See photos.
