Quartz has formed with epidote on matrix from Hakkâri Province, Turkey. The epidote formed small crystals that are built up in many clusters that streak across the specimen. There are several holes from epimorphic casts where calcite previously formed and then dissolved away. The back also has smaller examples of these epimorphs. There are plenty of quartz crystals that formed throughout the piece as well. A large, beautiful and unique specimen!
