A really beautiful pair of Laura Ashely vintage Sitwell Brick in heavy 100% cotton
Fully lined in blackout lining.
This a discontinued heritage print from the 1990's with a warm brick-red background with contrasting cream/beige details. Still a very contemporary design.

It is very rare to get this width or length and are a huge pair that would suit a period house with high ceilings  - Thesr is about around 18 metres of quality fabric, and these would be extremely expensive to have made now. Unusually these have 6 inch deep header tape, giving a luxury, bespoke drape allowing the curtains to form grand pencils when gathered which looks fantastic on long drops. luluxury feature used in high-end, bespoke drapery. It allows the curtains
Photos are good by eye and colour comparisons given. It is easy to look the fabric up as it is a very eduringly popular design. If you would like a photo against a particular colour just let me know.

For their year, they are in great condition but do have fading at the edges, mostly on one edge of each. As they are each 3 full widths of fabric either edge can be used as the leading edge. On one curtain the fabric has split in a couple of very small sections along the fold - see photo. There is also some minor fading in a couple of the folds but that is not at all obvious when hung. Overall there is a vast meterage of almost pristine fabric.
The blackout lining is good overall. On close inspection there are some marks, especially near the hemline and some historic marks in the odd place. Again, huge amounts of good fabric.

The dimensions above are for EACH curtain in the pair, un-gathered. Below are the measurements in inches and in centimetres.
When fully pleated they are about half the un pleated with but this is adjustable using the strings in the header tape.

Width: 148 inches (375 cm) each ungathered
Drop : 102 inches (260 cm)

I try to measure accurately but sometimes room for minor error so let me know if more precision needed.
