Up for sale is a nice matching pair of vintage solid brass bookends manufactured in 1983 by the prestigious Virginia Metalcrafters. These bookends feature an elegant, stylized open work design based on the historic key escutcheons found at Thomas Jefferson’s estate. 

They do have minor scuffs and typical signs of aging appropriate for their 1980’s origin (and they were stored in a barn uncovered). It does enhance their vintage character. Brass has not been aggressively polished, and the black non-slip under bases are firmly attached with minor wear. One even has the original price tag of $70 from the “Vintage Museum Co. “
