This is an account of the second phase of the 1898 Anglo-Egyptian campaign to restore Anglo-Egyptian rule to the Sudan leading to the Battle of Omdurman. British troops played a significant part in the campaign alongside Egyptian and Sudanese troops. The battle is famous for the charge of the 21st Lancers in which Winston Churchill participated. Handling wear, scuffing and soiling to original light brown (sand) cloth boards.
