Soft Ball Protection Oil by Wat Tha Sung, Uthai Thani Province

"Chatri" is superior to "Kong Krapan" (invulnerability). With Kong Krapan, if you are heavily struck or slashed, the weapon might not pierce your skin, but you will still feel the pain. However, with Chatri, no matter how hard you are hit, you will not feel any pain. In ancient times, this was called "Look Bao" (Soft Ball), meaning that any physical impact you take feels incredibly light. For example, when a boxer gets punched, the blow feels light; even a heavy strike loses its force.

This batch of oil derives its original essence from the Chatri Oil created by Luang Phor Parn of Wat Bang Nom Kho, and the lineage was later passed down to Luang Phor Ruesi Ling Dam of Wat Tha Sung.

The Origin Story by Luang Phor Ruesi Ling Dam

Luang Phor Ruesi Ling Dam once shared a story regarding this Chatri oil:

"Once, when I went to deliver a sermon at Wat Hu Chang, a sudden gale blew in. There was a man sitting at the top of a tall sugar palm tree drinking palm wine. When the wind gusted, he slipped and fell all the way to the ground. I was shocked and rushed over to help him because the tree was incredibly high. However, he simply stood up, brushed off his backside, looked at the palm wine still in his hand, and said, 'Oh, what a shame, a little bit spilled.' (Laughs) This is exactly what we call Look Bao or Chatri."

The Properties of Chatri Oil The Chatri oil has two primary effects:

1. Healing diseases.
2. The Look Bao effect (softening physical impacts).

Luang Phor Ruesi Ling Dam continued:

"I had dreamed of this Chatri oil since I was a child, but no one ever taught me how to make it. The only true masters I found who possessed it were Ajahn Phoda and Luang Phor Parn.

I actually stole it from him once. Well, as disciples, we don't really consider it 'stealing'—I thought of it as my wages for guarding his living quarters! When he wasn't around, I sneaked in, opened the cabinet, and found a tiny bottle labeled 'Chatri Oil'. It smelled of fragrant sesame oil, somewhat similar to sandalwood. I wondered, 'How is this Chatri oil?' and poured about half a snuff bottle's worth for myself."

Caught by the Master

"When he returned, he asked, 'Who took the oil?' 'I did, sir,' I replied. 'Who gave you permission?' 'I did, sir.' 'How can you permit yourself?' 'I was guarding your quarters, sir.' 'Well, you are the only one who dares to speak to me like this. Use it well, and do not use it for the wrong purposes,' he said.

I then asked Luang Phor what the oil was actually like. He answered, 'It can be anything you want, my child. Tell you what, that guy Un is a boxer. Right before he fights, dab a little of this oil on his face and see what happens. I haven't even used it myself since I made it.'

After Un finished his boxing match, we asked him how it went. Un replied, 'When I got punched, I didn't feel any pain.' This is what they call Look Bao, any impact feels completely light, just like falling from a palm tree and not feeling the crash or any pain."

Consecration and Refilling Rules

"If people ask what you have, you can tell them it's the Look Bao Oil. Last night, I thought I might need to consecrate it up to 7 times. But this morning, Luang Phor Parn came to me and said, 'There's no need for 7 times, my child. Just once is enough because the Supreme Master (Somdej) did it Himself, and all the monks assisted. However, it can be refilled using the original method.'

Refilling Rule: When you want to refill it, you must pour the original Chatri oil out first. Put the new coconut or sesame oil into the bottle, and then pour the original Chatri oil back in on top. Never pour new oil directly on top of the old oil; always pour the old oil over the new oil."

How to Use the Soft Ball Protection Oil (Chatri Oil)

1. Invocation & Prayer

• Before using, invoke the virtues of all the Buddhas, Paccekabuddhas, Arahants, Brahmas, Devas, and spiritual teachers, holding Luang Phor Parn of Wat Bang Nom Kho as the highest authority.
• Chant Namo Tassa 3 times.
• Chant the Triple Gem refuge:
• "Buddhang Saranam Gacchami, Dhammang Saranam Gacchami, Sanghang Saranam Gacchami."
• Awaken the oil's power with this incantation:
• "Ittiritti Buddha Nimit-tang, Khor Dae-cha Dae-chang, Khor Daet Dae-cha, Jong Ma Pen Tee Peung Gae Ma-A-U Nee Duay Terd."
• Make a wish according to your desires—whether to cure an illness, protect yourself, or bless a vehicle.

2. For Healing Illnesses It can be used to treat all kinds of illnesses. You can consume it or apply it topically, depending on what is most suitable for the condition.

• Incantation: Chant "Dukkha Dukkhang Patit-thitang Sampaticchami" (3 times).
• Dosage: If consuming, take 1 coffee spoon (teaspoon) once a day.
• Observation Note: No matter the disease, if you feel a hot sensation after consuming or applying it, it indicates that the oil cannot cure that specific illness. If you feel a cool sensation, it means the oil will cure it.

3. For General Auspiciousness & Protection

• Personal Blessing: Use an incense stick (or similar object) to dip into the oil and lightly dab it onto your head once a day. This will bring all-around good fortune.
• Vehicle Blessing: You can anoint your vehicle with it for protection (apply it just once, similar to traditional Thai vehicle-blessing ceremonies).

 

Note:

Some amulet may look different from that Photo due to hand made, 

material and creation process.

some item master have to blessed in Holy water. 

Each one have unique attribute in Thai amulet styles because master have use special sacred material so it will not look nice like the general amulet from factory.
