The Waterloo concept is based on the Kalamazoo KG-14, which was distributed as a second brand of Gibson in the 1930s, and is manufactured in Collings' own workshop. Waterloo guitars are born from Bill Collings' high-quality "playfulness." *The brand name Waterloo uses the old name for Austin, Texas, where Collings is based.

The 12-fret joint provides a richness not found in 14-fret joints, and the dry, robust sound of the maple truly evokes the "old-school" feel. Colling's quality is truly astonishing; he can master anything with incredible precision.

You'll also appreciate the revival of details such as the excess glue overflowing from the bracing and lining, and the roughly finished bracing with visible blade marks.

There are a few small dents on the back and top, but these don't affect playability and don't feel out of place given the instrument's nature. The neck is in excellent condition, making it exceptionally playable.

Waterloo guitars are hard to come by, so if you've been looking for one, act fast!
