This Asus uses a 'Hitachi LG data storage', Bu40n drive. It has a manufacturing date of December 2024. The drive has been flashed with 'Omnidrive' firmware to make it compatible with UHD 4K Blu-Rays and Game disc ripping. This drive will work with 'MakeMKV', 'MPF', 'Redumper' and 'DVDfab'. You can use this drive to copy CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, 4k UHD Blu-Ray and game discs, (please refer to Omnidrive wiki for which game discs can be copied). For backing up your films and TV shows. I recommend MakeMKV. For Game discs, I recommend MPF. This drive will work, out of the box, with both programmes. Dispatch will be same day as purchase, if purchased before 12pm. Otherwise, it will go the next day. Tracking will be provided. Returns are free and accepted if, you change your mind. Pictures show the Asus ripping a UHD disc with MakeMKV. Other pictures, above, show it ripping Fable 3 (Xbox 360) using MPF. It's powered off a double Usb lead. You can run it from one Usb. Some Usb's are less powerful. That's why Asus included a double headed cable. But, most Usb ports will run the drive alone. I've added a Usb a female, to Usb C adaptor, for people with devices that are Usb C only.
