Signature Audio 40

The groundbreaking Signature Audio 40 analogue audio interconnect celebrates QED's 40 years at the forefront of British designed audio cables.

Signature Audio 40 is an entirely new design concept from QED laboratories. The cordage is designed primarily for low capacitance as this has been identified by QED as a significant factor leading to a high-fidelity experience and makes for a tight sound retaining the rhythm of the original piece. Add our Complementary Conductor Technology™ for high frequency detail and our Analoc2™ technology to maximise signal integrity and the result is what we feel to be the most innovative interconnect ever made by QED. FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Complementary Conductor TechnologyTM

This innovation utilises two conductors of different diameters to carry the same audio signal. This has the effect of providing an alternative path for high frequency audio components which might otherwise become time smeared in a single audio pathway. Teflon dielectric
This material with its low dielectric constant has been used to cut down on the amount of audio signal energy lost due to cable capacitance.

Cryogenic treatment

It is understood that cryogenic treatment results in the elimination of dislocations and fractures in the material's micro-structure. Trumpets and other brass instruments have been found to produce a better tone after Deep Cryogenic Treatment (below -190 °C, -310 °F) and it also extends their working life. Our extensive listening tests have shown that the cryogenically treated cable is preferred over the same cable without the treatment.



All-new Analoc2™ connector design

The Analoc2™ design still features low bulk, high purity copper connectors alongside low mass metal barrels, but now cleverly substitutes high rigidity thermoplastic material for both the inner support structure and the cable strain relief to eliminate the detrimental effects of eddy currents. Although already smaller than in traditional bulk brass plugs, these unfavourable currents were still able to circulate weakly in the isolated metal body of the previous plug design. Now with the new material in place, these remnant resonant distortions are completely prevented from adversely affecting the information contained in the audio signal as it travels through the new plug.

To complete the RCA plug’s Analoc2™ upgrade and to help combat the skin effect, the hollow, rhodium-plated, high-purity copper signal-pins are retained, while the effectiveness of the slip ring which locks in place the similarly plated, pure copper ground-terminal as the barrels are tightened, has also been improved.

Analoc2™ Technology

QED Analoc2™ RCA plugs feature high-purity copper signal and ground connections supported by a new non-conductive low eddy 

current body.

The hollow central pin eliminates the skin effect at high frequencies and the revised locking barrel design clamps the dual blade ground 

connection firmly to the RCA sockets for improved noise rejection. The all new Analoc2™ design cleverly substitutes high rigidity 

thermoplastic material for both the inner support structure and the cable strain relief to eliminate the distorting effects of eddy currents, 

which are always present in ordinary plugs where bulk brass is used instead

We try to dispatch all goods on a same or next working day basis dependant of time of order, at certain times due to high demand there could be a slight delay, if this occurs we aim to dispatch as soon as possible.

On Bank Holidays, Weekends and Evenings you may receive notification of dispatch, this indicates the item has been picked, prepared, and sent for dispatch, it will actually be collected by Royal Mail or Interlink DPD  on the next available working day.

Should there are any problems with your order we will contact you to discuss the options.

Cables we need to terminate may take a little longer, please allow us time to terminate them.

Larger items will be dispatched by a courier on a 9am to 6:30pm delivery, if we have your email address through ebay, Interlink or DPD will send you a predicted delivery hour.

Optional delivery times are available at an additional cost, please contact for details.

Smaller items will be sent Royal Mail Recorded and insured.

Smaller items with a low value may not be sent recorded.

All goods must be signed for.

In the event that no one is in the driver will leave a card, you should contact the courier direct with the details on the card, to arrange an alternative time for delivery.

You must contact the courier in the time specified on their card, or goods will be returned to us and additional shipping costs may apply.

When your goods arrive;

Sign for the number of boxes you receive.

Check all boxes for visible damage, if you find them to be damaged either do not accept them, or sign DAMAGED.

You must notify us before the next working day so we can contact the courier to claim from their insurance.

Failure to do this, and we can not accept liability for any damage.

Unwanted Items;

We offer a full refund or exchange for items purchased on eBay, providing they are returned complete with packaging, accessories and in an 'as new' condition within 14 days of purchase.

This excludes bespoke items that have been made for you, including all speaker cables cut to length, and terminated speaker cables, unless faulty.

We will only issue refunds to the original payment method, and once we have received the goods back.

The cost of the return delivery charge is to be paid directly by the customer.

We recommend the item be returned via a track-able method and insured, we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of an item being returned.

We reserve the right to charge a handling fee for any returned item, which does not comply with the above conditions.
