FOR SALE nice medium-to-large-sized antique Gladstone bag with crocodile-print leather.
A classic old-fashioned "doctor's bag" from the early 1900s. Unsure of exact age, but probably close to 100 years old, 1900s - 1930s/40s.
Nice, large capacity. Measures 16.5 (length) x 9 (width) x 10 inches (height).
Opens, closes, latches, and locks, exactly as intended. Catch snaps shut securely and frame-latches hold and lock securely. Comes with ORIGINAL KEY and WORKING LOCK.
Original lining is completely torn-out and shredded (very common with these old bags, unfortunately. They were often just made of thin cotton, and were never designed to last this long...). However, it has been re-lined using a nice, sturdy brown suede material, giving big central compartment, two large side-pockets, and two smaller end-pockets in the interior.
Everything is held in with velcro-strips & dots and is quite sturdy. In theory, the entire liner could be removed, should you want to make a new one to put inside.
Would make an ideal overnight / weekender-bag for short trips. Good capacity for clothes, toiletries, etc. Handle is sturdy and not at any risk of coming off.
The corners of the bag were rather worn, and were reinforced with new leather patches.
