Check my other auctions for more dug relics from New Mexico and beyond.

These were part of a large collection accumulated by a man (now deceased) who used to metal detect around Fort Craig NM (1854-1888) in the 1950's-1960's.

Large, heavy brass broken stirrup pieces. Nice dug condition with dark patina. Great display items.

Fort Craig was established in 1854 by the 1st Dragoons and 3rd Infantry, and abandoned in the late 1880's. The Civil War Battle of Valverde was fought near here in 1862 between Texas Confederate troops and Union troops being aided by New Mexico Militia troops, some under the command of Kit Carson.

Always glad to combine shipping if you win more than one auction. Thanks for bidding!
