An art deco period mould blown clear glass fruit bowl with gadrooned silver mounts to the top and bottom rims generally attributed to Belgium maker Val Saint Lambert. Each rim bears the 950 grade stamp of the helmet of Minerva. In 40+ years I have never seen one with both rim and foot silver mounted.

The bowl diameter is 31.5cm (handles included) and 21.7cm diameter (excluding the handles). The bowl stands approx 10cm tall (excluding the handles). The golf ball in picture 2 is a size guide.

The silver top rim can be removed and weighs 40g. The bottom rim cannot be removed, but probably weighs 20-30g.

Condition: The glass bowl is in excellent condition with no damage. Rings well and the handles are free from chips and frits. There are some fine scratches to the bowl interior and a couple of more obvious ones, but nothing to detract. The silver mounts are both stamped with the 950 grade helmet of Minerva mark which is clear on the top rim and dusty on the bottom rim. The rims themselves are not split and do not have any major damage other than a small dent to the top rim and of course some small areas of oxidisation. The top rim comes away but does not fall off if the bowl is inverted.
