Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain seal paste box of square form, dating to the 19th century. The cover is decorated with a finely painted garden scene featuring flowering branches, rockwork, and a perched bird rendered in underglaze cobalt blue. The sides are adorned with various floral and botanical motifs, creating a continuous decorative program around the box.

Seal paste boxes were traditionally used to hold cinnabar paste for applying seals to documents, paintings, and calligraphy. This example displays a refined blue and white palette and attractive floral decoration characteristic of late Qing porcelain production.
