Chinese porcelain covered trinket box decorated in the Famille Rose palette with colorful butterflies, scrolling vines, leaves, and floral motifs against a vibrant iron-red ground. The underside bears an apocryphal six-character iron-red Qianlong reign mark in seal script. While bearing an 18th-century mark, the box is a 20th-century reproduction, likely produced during the Republic period or later for the export market. The interior features a crackled white glaze and a single butterfly motif in the base.
