According to a friend who is an experienced Ercoupe restorer, the painted logo cowling with Dzus fasteners is for a 5 gallon header tank and the other with the riveted Ercoupe badges and Camloc fasteners is for a 6 gallon header tank. 

Note the placement of the header tank filler neck holes and compare.
