Since its inception, the Gibson Les Paul Custom has continued to captivate many instrument users and artists worldwide.
While some Les Paul Customs were produced in 1953, 1954 marked its true debut.
This model features a sophisticated design inspired by a tuxedo, and its stylish appearance continues to fascinate many to this day.
It is also known as the first guitar to feature the then-innovative ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge.
This particular instrument faithfully reproduces the original style of a 1954 Custom.
It features a staple pickup in the neck position and a soapbar P-90 pickup in the bridge position.
The gold hardware on the black-colored body enhances its appeal.
The previous owner had previously installed a Bigsby tremolo, and the tailpiece hole was filled and then re-drilled. The playing condition is very good, and the appearance has gained character through years of use.
