In Mikado City, gateways to a parallel universe open, unleashing alien invaders known as "Neighbors". Humanity is saved by "Border," a secretive defense agency that equips agents with alien technology. The story follows Osamu Mikumo, a weaker but highly strategic Border trainee, and Yūma Kuga, an immensely powerful humanoid Neighbor.
